What is my Mountain Horned Agama Lizard doing?!!!?

We have recently bought him a girlfriend. His tail now seems to have a life of it's own!- It wags! He wags his tail, just the tip wags at first, then it picks up speed and he wacks it about just like a dog!- What is he doing?
