Are there cultures in the world in which major triads are considered sad and minor triads happy?

What I would really like is some sort of source or citation. I was under the impression that such cultures exist (from some program on the radio), which would have interesting implications about the relativism of musical meaning, but I have been unable to find any reference to this on the internet or elsewhere. Anyone know anything about this?
