Gun laws are awfully confusing huh?
For everyone who's confused, this is a breakdown of the Machusetts Approved Roster List. FSGUNS.com has a great list of everything you can't buy in the Commonwealth, since all firearms have to p the Attorney General's consumer safety standards and be approved for sale. You'll find that damn near every Smith is approved, most Sigs, a couple of Beretta models, some Ruger, Para Ord, and Walther. Not much else in the way of handguns. Other than that, no new guns can be transferred by a dealer. The reason you'll see "unapproved" guns for sale is because they're pre-1998 and grandfathered, so they can be transferred. Glocks are at a premium in M, because they aren't approved and the pre-98 models go fast. Really makes you consider moving to New Hampshire...
