Taking out dental stitches?
I had minor gum surgery last Thursday. Now four days later it's just about healed, but the stitches (non-dissolvable) are the only thing left causing pain. One of them is so loose that I can't help tugging on it when I bite on something (like tripping over an untied shoelace). I called the office to see if I can come in tomorrow (Tuesday) but was curtly told "no! Thursday." This is ridiculous. I know it's two days early, but there's been not a hint of blood since the procedure was done, and all this stitch is doing is dangling there causing more irritation. And the people at that office never listen to me! I literally can't help tugging on it because when I bite, it sticks to the opposite tooth and gets yanked up. How can I just remove it myself? Thanks.
