In Spanish, which tense would I use?
The best translation into Spanish would be: "El hotel estuvo bueno debido a que tena piscina bajo techo". But to tell you the truth, that does not sound well in Spanish. It just does not sit well that a hotel was good "because" it had an indoor pool. You may say that you found good that the hotel had an indoor pool. But to say that it was good because of that...well it does not sound well in any language. That is why I say "estuvo" for your "was" instead of "era" or "fue", which are good words for "was" depending on the context. Nothing, it does not sound well in English...nor in Spanish. But I gave you the correct way to say it. AdianRosamor.
